Parker the Pelican helping children’s literacy

If you’re one of the children or families accessing services at Parks Children’s Centre in Angle Park, you may be familiar with Parker the Pelican.
He’s an important part of the Paint the Parks and Gardens REAd program at the centre, which aims to improve the literacy levels of children.
Director at the Parks Children’s Centre, Dianne Krieg, joined Small Change’s Lisa Burns for a chat about how the program came about, how children and families are responding to the program and the plans for its future.
