Climate change and weather presenters

What is our perception of TV weather presenters? We probably think of them as giving reports in front of a weather map, informing us of upcoming temperatures, rain and wind with a friendly “Slip! Slop! Slap!” reminder in summer. But what is their attitude to reporting on climate change. A new report based on a survey of weather presenters reveals this information. To examine the results, Barometer’s Des Lawrence spoke to David Holmes, Director of the Monash Climate Change Communication Research Hub, a co-author of the report.
