Tougher laws needed for companies causing financial hardship

Leaders from the financial counselling sector are calling on governments around Australia to get tougher on payday lenders, rent-to-buy companies and for-profit debt management companies that cause harm to people and can leave them in greater financial hardship.
Chair for the South Australian Financial Counsellors Association, Anne Crouch, spoke to Small Change’s Lisa Burns about the kinds of feedback they’re hearing from clients who are facing financial hardship and the legislative changes they’d like to see.
