Posted on: Sun 9 Feb 2025

Through a fusion of personal storytelling, culture and family history, Rhoda Roberts AO, sheds light on her cousin Frank Robert’s transformative journey from rural Australia to the world stage as Australia’s first indigenous Olympian in 1964, a time when he wasn’t entitled to travel with an Australian passport. Her original one woman play, My Cousin Frank appears as part of the Adelaide Festival. Here, Rhoda talks with Art Throb’s David Jobling about the play, and the process of creating it.
