For the first time ever, Philip Ridley’s The Poltergeist comes to Adelaide Fringe 2025 for a strictly limited run after it’s highly acclaimed season at LaMama Theatre in Melbourne.
Lead character Sasha (Tamblyn Lord) was once destined to conquer the world of art. At the age of fifteen pop stars wanted his paintings, and his next exhibition was going to make him a millionaire. But now he lives in a run-down flat with his out-of-work boyfriend, serves in a stationers, and no one’s even heard of him… what went wrong? Philip Ridley’s darkly comic new play is about art, family, memory, and being haunted by the life we never lived. Solo actor Tamblyn Lord, talks here with Art Throb’s David Jobling about finding this unique play and developing the production himself. Tamblyn also sheds some light on international trekking tours he leads for the adventurous. You can find out more about Tamblyn’s yoga classes, adventures and this highly acclaimed one man play, at his website here. David started the interview by asking Tamblyn what are the dates for this Adelaide season… (18th – 23rd March)
