Beware of fraudsters

In the past year Australia has seen a steep increase in loss of money to fraud.
In 2021 Australians lost around $2bn to fraud which is more than double the amount lost in the previous year.
So how have we seen such an increase and what can be done to protect Australians from losing such massive amounts of money to fraud?
Dr Cassandra Cross, Associate Dean (Learning & Teaching) from the Faculty of Creative Industries at Queensland University of Technology, joins Breakfast host Tom Mann to discuss further.
