Santos Sportswash Hung Out to Dry

In a surprising but welcome development, the Australian Open quietly dropped the multi-year sponsorship by Santos it announced last year. No reasons were given, but pressure has been mounting from climate activist groups and sportspeople themselves, for sports bodies, like the AO and the Tour Down Under, to drop sponsorship by fossil fuel companies. Barry Mitchell spoke to Lucy Manne from 350.org, the group which has been pushing hardest against sports washing.
