In 1913 the Ford Motor Company began the world’s first moving assembly line for the production of the Model T Ford car.
In 1953 the first edition of Playboy magazine was published. Led by founder and editor-in-chief, Hugh Hefner, the magazine featured the iconic actress, model, and singer, Marilyn Monroe.
In 1955, the first lady of civil rights, Rosa Parks, was arrested for famously refusing to relinquish her seat and move to the back of a bus for a white passenger in Montgomery, Alabama.
In 1973, the memorable hit “Top of the world” from the iconic music duo, the Carpenters, reached the number one spot in America.
