On Boxing Day 2006, Australians were shocked at the news that the body of an elderly woman was discovered inside a wheelie bin at her Sydney home. She had survived the horrors of WWII and the holocaust only to die in a quiet, leafy Australian suburb. Author Eddie Russell’s recently released book The Madness Locker is based on that Boxing Day finding, becoming historical crime fiction portrayed within a powerful story.
