HEALTH SECTOR LEFT OUT OF MORRISON’S COP26 PLAN

When Australia announced its plan to tackle climate change at COP26, the Morrison government didn’t count the health sector in it. The health sector produces 7 per cent of the carbon emissions in Australia, and around 45 per cent of those emissions come from public and private hospitals, according to research.

The Wire’s Eduardo Jordan spoke to Fiona Armstrong, Executive Director and Founder of Climate and Health Alliance about the Morrison government’s inaction on climate in the heath sector.
