Ian W Shaw: Ghosts of Roebuck Bay

Posted on: Mon 25 Oct 2021

Repeat broadcast from May 2020.   In early 1942 a little pearling port in WA became the epicentre of the war in the South-West Pacific.  Not much was reported about it around Australia.  It’s a tale of long distance flights to supposed safety, of flying boats, humble heroism and more.
