Amphibian at Windmill

Posted on: Wed 22 Sep 2021

A portrait of the Afghan refugee experience, the Adelaide based play Amphibian is the striking story of displacement, loss, and adaptation.

Directed by Sasha Zarha from the Windmill Theatre Company, Amphibian premiered in 2018 and is making a comeback for a good cause.

In support of the people of Afghanistan, Windmill is donating a portion of their box office income to the Baba Mazari Foundation, a not-for-profit helping impoverished families, child labourers and disadvantaged students in Afghanistan.

Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis spoke to director Sasha Zahra about the reopening of the play.
