Urban Planning for those under 95cm

Urban planning has a direct effect on pre-schoolers, the little people under 95cm. That fact underpins the initiative called Urban 95. And it’s why transport planning consultant Matthew Root investigated his sons’ experience as they sat in the front box of a cargo bike. Matthew is joint-owner of a small business in Perth called Flyt, and will present his findings at this month’s Australian Walking and Cycling Conference. Sarah Martin asked him why he and his wife chose to get a cargo bike to transport their young family.
