With the 70th anniversary of the Australia, New Zealand, United States Security Treaty (ANZUS) this week, it’s a good time to look back and evaluate Australia’s relationship with the US and what it means for us.

The Australian government has been increasing spending on defence and weapons from the US, but how serious is the military threat?
