The Tarkine, in North-East Tasmania, is an area of pristine wilderness with world heritage values. This didn’t stop Chinese mining company MMG from building a road through it to construct a tailings dam, but the wilderness protectors did – eventually. Barry Mitchell spoke to Scott Jordan from the Bob Brown Foundation about this campaign and what is behind it.
