Transphobia rife in sexual health care

Posted on: Fri 23 Jul 2021

Almost three-quarters of trans and gender diverse Australians say they have experienced gender insensitivity in sexual health care on at least two occasions, according to a 2018 national online survey of sexual health and well-being.

Researcher and lead-author Shoshana Rosenberg joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Paul Davies to discuss what transphobia looks like in the medical setting, its impact, and what medical practitioners can do to improve their relationship with gender.
