Transgender Inclusivity in the Olympics

Transgender weightlifter Laurel Hubbard was selected to be a part of New Zealand’s Olympic team for the upcoming games making her the first open transgender woman to participate in the Olympics.
While her participation is a big leap for the transgender community, there has been plenty of heated opposition to the decision.
Director of the Transgender Health and Research Lab at the University of Waikato, Dr Jaimie Veale, joins Breakfast’s Zoe Kounadis and Tom Mann to discuss more.
