Posted on: Tue 30 Mar 2021

“You couldn’t want a better place to grow up and be a child than in the circus.”

Stardust christenings, digging circus rings in the midst of Australia’s wickedest sand storms, and finding gold mines: Jan and Lorraine Ashton have both grown up and raised children in Ashton’s Circus, a family circus that’s been travelling and performing in every nook and cranny of Australia across generations.

Travelling Life host Stefanie Staelens takes you into their world and finds out what growing up in a nomadic family circus is like, and how it has been formative of their view on Australia, the world and themselves.
