On this day in history;

In 1947, Christian Dior unveiled the “New Look” fashion collection at Avenue Montaigne, Paris.

In 2001, NASA’s NEAR Shoemaker spacecraft landed in the “saddle” region of the Asteroid Eros after a 5 year trip. Making it the first spacecraft in history to land on an asteroid.

In 1924, George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” premiered at the influential concert “Experiment in Modern Music” held at the Aeolian Hall in New York City.

Breakfast producer, Soph Landau, joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Paul Davies to elaborate on these events in history.
