Breakthrough virtual tool for dementia carers

Dementia affects 10% of people over 65 in the world and this condition also takes a heavy toll on the patients’ carers, who are often informal and unpaid.
Dr Tuan Anh Nguyen, UniSA Senior Research Fellow specialising in dementia, will lead the project to create a virtual assistant tool that will support dementia carers in the Asia-Pacific region.
Dr Nguyen joins Tom Mann to discuss the motivation behind the project and the benefits that the tool will bring to dementia carers.
