Looking for aged care workers

Posted on: Mon 18 Jan 2021

The aged care industry in Australia is struggling to retain and attract workers for many reasons, such as the lack of career development.

A recent study by Flinders University’s Caring Futures Institute and the University of Adelaide urges for immediate changes in government policy to attract workers to the sector, as the number of Australians requiring aged care services is on the rise.

Lead author and researcher in the Caring Futures Institute, Professor Lily Xiao, joins Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis to discuss the study.
