Posted on: Fri 15 Jan 2021

On this day in history;

In 1797, the very first top hat was worn by a John Etherington of London.

In 1870, the donkey was first used as a symbol of the United States Democratic Party, in Harper’s Weekly.

In 1967, The Rolling Stones appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show and reluctantly agreed to alter lyrics of their hit “Let’s Spend The Night Together”.

Breakfast producer, Soph Landau, joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis to elaborate on these events in history.
