Calls to reconsider AstraZeneca vaccine roll out

Coronavirus vaccines are expected to be available in Australia as soon as next month.

However the Australian and New Zealand Society for Immunology says plans should be paused immediately, as the AstraZeneca vaccine may not be effective enough to generate herd immunity.

Professor Adrian Esterman, Chair of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the University of South Australia, joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis to discuss.
