What started as a Donald Trump rally this Wednesday, ended in a city-wide lockdown and saw Washington DC turn into a riot zone.
Donald Trump supporters forced their way into the Capitol building while the US election results were to be certified by Congress.
Four people have died on the Capitol grounds and 52 people were arrested by the evening.
US correspondent, Taylor Kaplan, joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis to discuss.
