WOMADelaide new location for 2021

Posted on: Wed 9 Dec 2020

WOMADelaide 2021 is a go with a brand new location for the first time in 29-years. Usually held at Botanic Park, the world festival will have an all-Australian line-up during their sunset series, held over four nights during the March long weekend.

The festival will take place in King Rodney Park, opposite Rymill Park in the CBD. Headlining the series is rock-legends Midnight Oil, performing their greatest hits on Saturday night and on Monday, premiering their new Makarrata Live concert with first nation’s collaborators.

Other notable acts are Tash Sultana, Sampa The Great, Sarah Blasko and The Tesky Brothers.

For the first time, the four-night festival will be fully seated, so secure a spot by booking on the WOMADelaide website on Friday December 11.

Tom Mann joins WOMADelaide Festival Director, Ian Scobie to chat about the new COVID-Safe festival design.
