Can Robots Write?

Posted on: Tue 6 Oct 2020

Last month, an article was published in The Guardian written by an artificial intelligence.

Named GT-3, it is the product of the research and development team at OpenAI. It fed a series of prompts by The Guardian and gave a convincing argument about how robots mean no harm to humanity.

The previous iteration, GT-2, was in the news earlier this year when Australia won the Eurovision-esque AI song contest with Uncanny Valley’s ‘Beautiful the World’.

Alexandra Uitdenbogerd, Senior Lecturer in Computer Science at RMIT University (who is in part responsible for Beautiful the World), joined Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis to elaborate on how this technology works.
