DVA: Australia remembers Norman Lambert

Posted on: Mon 7 Sep 2020

In the 75 day run-down to the 75th anniversary of the end of World War 2, DVA’s project recorded stories from 75 Aussies of that era.  Over the coming weeks, Service Voices will bring you those stories.  Today, Australia remembers Norman Lambert, a prisoner of war working in camps on the Burma-Thailand Railroad.  His son Ross related this story told to him by his father — a story about mateship and ultimate sacrifice.   “Paying respects to that amazing generation of Australians“.

See and hear all 75 stories at DVA’s website.
