Brad Chilcott taking White Ribbon from awareness to action

Posted on: Thu 30 Jul 2020

White Ribbon is the world’s largest movement engaging men and boys to end men’s violence against women and girls, promote gender equality and create new opportunities for men to build positive, healthy and respectful relationships.

The charity went into liquidation last year, and White Ribbon Australia have in the past been criticised for their tokenistic approach, rather than inciting real cultural change to tackle gender-based violence.

But with a new boss and fresh intentions to make a difference, the organisation says now it’s time to change.

Brad Chilcott, recently appointed Executive Director of White Ribbon Australia, joins Pink Rabbit’s Soph Landau and Phoebe Montgomery to discuss the groups new direction.
