The Future for Winegrowers

Posted on: Tue 7 Jul 2020

The wine industry is hugely important in Australia both as an export market, and for domestic business – but the changing climate will mean wine grape-growers will have to adapt, and may have to make some big changes. To help them make these decisions, the industry funded research looking at the future scenarios for all of Australia’s wine regions. The result is ‘Australia’s Wine Future – A Climate Atlas’, and Barry Mitchell spoke to Rebecca Harris, geographer and climatologist from the University of Tasmania, about this research.
