Equal pay funding for services sector at risk

The Councils of Social Service (COSS) Network is calling on the Morrison Government to prevent impending cuts to community services, which would negatively impact the national gender pay gap.
Senior Advisor, Community Services and Health at ACOSS, John Mikelsons, says there are real concerns for the impact these cuts of about $500 million per year would have on addressing gender based inequality in wages paid to workers in our sector and on maintaining essential services to communities.
He explains the background of these funding cuts to Small Change‘s Lisa Burns, as well as how community organisations can take action.
