Facebook’s new defamation ruling

Australians are now liable for defamatory Facebook comments after a Supreme court ruling last week.
Questions have now been raised about the logistics of Facebook moderation for organisations, namely the cost of hiring professionals.
Dr Fiona Martin, a Senior Lecturer in Convergent and Online Media at the University of Sydney, speaks to Breakfast’s Zoe Kounadis and Tom Mann about the impact this ruling from the New South Wales court will have around Facebook usage for organisations.
