In 1692, The first victim of the Salem witch trials Bridget Bishop is hanged for witchcraft in the colony of Massachusetts.

In 1845, American president Andrew Jackson’s African Grey parrot “Poll” is removed from his funeral for swearing.

In 2011, White Stripes frontman Jack White and British model Karen Elson throw a “divorce party” to celebrate their amicable breakup.
