In the April issue of Australian Book Review magazine, Suzy Freeman-Greene reviewed Choice Words: a collection of writing about abortion.
The arts and culture editor of the Conversation tells presenter Tara Nash that the book was “quite a revelation”.
“I didn’t realise it was such a complex picture in Australia in terms of the laws in different states,” she says.
“The picture has gotten so much worse in the US since I wrote that review, I guess it shows you can’t be complacent about abortion rights, women have to actively stand up for them all the time.”
