Update from Mai Wiru

Posted on: Fri 17 May 2019

In this week’s Paper Tracker interview, we find out about and get an update from the Mai Wiru Regional Stores Council Aboriginal Corporation.

For our listeners who are not from the APY Lands, ‘Mai Wiru’ means ‘Healthy Food’ and is the name of an organisation that has played a very important role in improving the supply and cost of healthy and fresh food in community stores across the APY Lands and other communities.

To get an update from Mai Wiru, the Anangu Lands Paper Tracker has invited the Chief Executive Officer, Dennis Bate, to join us on the show today.

The show includes the track, “Kuka Wiru Song” from the album, “Kunma Piti-la” by UPK and the Nganampa Health Council.
