Jacqueline Kent on her memoir Beyond Words

Posted on: Sun 7 Apr 2019

Jacqueline Kent met Kenneth Cook, author of the Australian classic Wake in Fright, at a dinner party in the mid ’80s. He was engaged to the host and Jacqueline knew of his “sarcastic” writing style.

“I had a fairly preconceived idea of what this man would be like, I thought he would be a sardonic bush type… he turned out to be nothing of the sort,” she tells presenter Tara Nash.

She has recently published Beyond Words – a memoir about a man she loved and the grief of death.
