Legal Recognition of Animal Feelings

The ACT Government is currently considering legislation to recognise animal sentience. If successful, the new laws will be the first of their kind in Australia.

Veterinarian and University of Sydney PhD candidate, Bronwyn Orr, talked with Breakfast‘s Tom and Zoe about what this legislation would mean for animal welfare in Australia.
