Sydney Harbour Bridge now accessible to all

Posted on: Sun 11 Nov 2018

After more than a decade of campaigning by disability advocates, the Sydney Harbour Bridge has had two lifts installed on the southern and northern sides of the pedestrian walkway.

This now allows people who use wheelchairs, families with prams, and the elderly with reduced mobility conditions to explore and stroll across the bridge without hesitation.

Serena Ovens, Chief Executive Officer for the Physical Disability Council of NSW, spoke to De-Stigmatised‘s Angus regarding her thoughts on this milestone.
