International Youth Silent Film Festival Hits Adelaide

Posted on: Mon 22 Oct 2018

Just as the Adelaide Film Festival wraps up after two weeks of showcasing the latest works from some of the world’s greatest filmmakers, another film festival is all set to present the next generation of film talent.

The International Youth Silent Film Festival is now in its sixth year in Australia, offering filmmakers under the age of twenty a tough creative challenge and a chance to compete on the world’s stage. The heats for South Australia, Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Tasmania are on tonight and Tuesday, and Rob from Onscreen Offscreen caught up with SA festival director Barb Cornish and score composer Nathan Avakian to hear how it all comes together.
