Many RSLs these days are battling to attract younger Veterans and their families and keep their doors open. Not so with the Payneham RSL. With Mark Lawson-Kent, a younger Veteran as their President, a good location and great premises, their plans for the future are looking sound and achievable…. and they haven’t forgotten the young children of Veteran families – with a magnificent, onsite safe children’s playground in the making. Mark’s record of service includes places like Northern Ireland, Bosnia, The Falklands and others… yes, before secondment to 1 RAR Mark served in the UK.
