Australia’s Weird Winter

“Hot and Dry: Australia’s Weird Winter” is a new report from the Climate Council. It examines the 2017 winter, Australia’s hottest in terms of average maximum temperatures, reaching nearly 2ºC above average. More than 260 heat and low rainfall records were also broken throughout the season. To look at the relationship to worsening climate change, Barometer’s Des Lawrence spoke to Professor Lesley Hughes from the Climate Council.
