Mabel Gibson: Rural Life, Dad, the family & WW2
Posted on: Mon 12 Jun 2017

For Mabel Gibson growing up in Rural Australia in the period between World War One and Two was an interesting one where lack of work simply meant packing up the family and moving to a new town for a better life. Dad’s enlistment application for WW1 was rejected, but he managed to get into the Army during WW2 and contributed greatly to the war effort from rural Victoria. Mable tells us many interesting snippets of her family’s history from the era.
