Pros & Cons of Constitutional Reform

Last week was the 50th anniversary of the 1967 referendum to include Aboriginal people in the census and allow the Commonwealth to create laws for them.

Currently, there is a campaign for further reform to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Australian Constitution.

However, Indigenous people across thirteen regions favoured a nation-wide treaty at a convention in Uluru last week.
