A Playful Approach to Learning

An Australian school made international headlines when its principal got rid of mandatory homework for primary school students. This was in response to 70% of parents claiming it was only somewhat important to their child’s learning, which is supported by a growing body of research.

Jennie Lenman sat down with Mount Barker Waldorf School co-deputy principal Brioni Pridham to find out what this could mean for schooling in the future, and to enquire more about the Waldorf philosophy and approach to primary education.
