Calls for gambling ad ban on G-rated programs
Posted on: Tue 9 May 2017

The Federal Government has announced it will introduce a package which bans gambling advertising during sporting broadcasts in television, radio, and online.
The ban only applies to live-sporting broadcasts between 5am and 8.30pm, and the Alliance for Gambling Reform says it wants the ban extended to all G-rated programs.
Tony Mohr is Executive Director for the Alliance and he spoke to Small Change’s Lisa Burns about the ban and the risks of early exposure to gambling advertising in children.
