From Perth to Adelaide: Clinton walks on Kaurna Country

Posted on: Tue 25 Apr 2017

Clinton Pryor is a Noongar, Yamatji, East Kimberley and Pilbara man who has been following songlines and visiting communities throughout Western and South Australia, in a long Walk For Justice for First Nations peoples.

He finally made it onto Kaurna Country this week, after setting off from Heirrison Island in Perth last year. He will continue his journey from Adelaide to Canberra, where he hopes to seek an audience with the Prime Minister and address the injustices against First Nations peoples.

Yesterday, Clinton’s supporters came together to celebrate his arrival and walk alongside him from Gepps Cross, through to Tarndanyangga.

Small Change’s Lisa Burns caught up with Amanda and some Tamil Drummers for a chat, as well as Noonie Raymond, who has been with Clinton for the entire journey.

She also had the privilege of walking alongside Clinton, who shared with her his story.
