On this day in 1999, 500,000 tonnes of hail fell on Sydney in one of Australia’s greatest storms.
From hailstones to icebergs, it was on this day in 1912 that the Titanic crashed.
and The Beatles met The Rolling Stones for the first time after a Stones gig in southwest London. Mick Jagger later referred to the group as a “four headed monster”.
