Greg Wilson on languages and interpreting

Posted on: Thu 6 Apr 2017

In this week’s program, we talk about Aboriginal languages and the importance of keeping languages alive. We also focus on why it’s so important that people have access to a language interpreter if they need one.

We talk with Greg Wilson, who speaks a number of Australian languages and who has made a significant contribution to teaching different languages, training language interpreters and translators, and doing interpreting and translating. As a linguist and a person who studies languages, Greg has a wealth of experience on these topics and has spent time living and working on the APY Lands.
