Reflections on Ceduna welfare card trial

The federal government recently announced that the use of cashless welfare cards in Ceduna would continue, hailing the year-long trial a success.
The card limits people’s access to cash, with eighty percent of their welfare payments quarantined to a card that cannot be used to buy alcohol or to gamble.
Last year, Small Change spoke to Kokatha Elder and Ceduna resident Sue Coleman who had been protesting the roll-out of the trial.
A year on, Bonnie Parker caught up with Sue to see if her opinion of the card has changed at all.
