The Borroloola People in the Northern Territory recently won native title including the right to commercial trading. This is the first time commercial trading has been granted in a native title determination in the Northern Territory.

During the Federal Court Hearing, material was presented showing evidence that the Traditional Owners traded with Macassan people from Indonesia prior to British Settlement.

Kaliah spoke to  Osker Linde, Deputy Legal Officer  from South Australian Native Title Services about the significant decision and what is means for other native tilte groups who may be seeking similar rights.
