Today – we find out about a school mentoring program that is doing outstanding work in closing the gap in Indigenous education.

Jack Manning Bancroft is the CEO of the Indigenous Mentoring Experience, a high school mentoring program that happens across Australia.  Recently the University of South Australia awarded the him as the youngest ever recipient of an honorary doctorate.

He spoke to Aboriginal Message following the awarding of his doctorate in Adelaide and we asked him about the size of the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous students in Australia when it comes to education.
